Getting Started Guide

Hi there! I'm Carla owner of CC Website Design. I am so excited about the opportunity to work with you on your website design project!

This is a collaborative process and this guide gives you a closer look at what to expect, what I will need from you, timelines, and more. The more prepared we are the better the result will be!

What To Expect

Project Preparation

To start your project I will send you a Google Doc agreement to carefully read and sign via email, and an email with a link to your invoice so you can pay your 50% deposit. Once completed your project is secured in my calendar and you will receive another email with a short list of tasks for you to complete such as assigning me access to your current website, Google Business Profile, Google Analytics and other accounts I need to connect to your website.

I will provide you with a link to a Google Drive Folder where you can upload your

Website Design

I will start from a blank Wix Editor Template in my Wix account. I will setup all the backend settings, On-Page SEO, and design the homepage on desktop. Next I share a link to provide feedback using Wix Feedback feature. I complete any requests then once all approved I work on the mobile version. Once thats complete you will be sent an email with a link to pay your remaining 50% invoice balance. Next I will transfer the website to your Wix account.

Questionnaires

To ensure your website and branding are tailored perfectly to your business, I’ll ask you to complete a few short questionnaires. These help me understand your goals, brand, audience, and technical requirements so I can design a website that truly supports your business and sets you up for success.

Access Questionnaire

Collects the logins and permissions needed to access your website, domains, hosting, and third-party tools so the project can be set up and completed smoothly.

Helps me understand your business, goals, services, and target audience so your website is designed strategically and aligned with your needs.

Brand Questionnaire

Gathers information about your brand personality, values, visual preferences, and messaging to ensure your website and branding feel like you.

SEO Questionnaire

Provides insight into your ideal customers, services, locations, and keywords so your website can be optimised for search engines from the start.

Brand Assets

Once you confirm your website design project you will get a link via email to your Google Drive Folder where you can upload your brand assets. This helps ensure your website design is consistent with your brand and saves time during the design process. If you don’t have all of these, that’s completely okay — upload what you have and we’ll work from there.

Logo Variants

Your primary logo file used across your website and marketing, Light Logo, Dark Logo, Transparent Logo etc any formats you have access.

Favicon

A small icon that appears in the browser tab and bookmarks (usually a simplified version of your logo).

Brand Guidelines

Any brand style guide outlining your colours, fonts, logo usage, and visual rules.

Font Files

Your brand fonts (if licensed), including any custom or paid fonts you’d like used on the website.

Brand Icons / Patterns

Any icons, patterns, illustrations, or graphic elements that form part of your visual identity.

I will need you to provide access to the following list if you already have accounts. If you do not have an account I will setup the accounts for you.

Google Analytics

Used to track how people find and use your website, including traffic, page views, and user behaviour. This helps measure performance and make data-driven improvements.

Bing Webmasters

Similar to Google Search Console, but for Bing and Yahoo search engines. It ensures your website is properly indexed and performing well outside of Google.

Google Search Console

Shows how your website appears in Google search results. It helps monitor SEO performance, fix indexing issues, and improve your visibility on Google.

Facebook Page Access

Used to connect your website with Facebook, install tracking (Meta Pixel), and manage ads, events, and integrations with your site.

Manages how your business appears in Google Search and Maps, including reviews, photos, and business details—essential for local SEO and credibility.

Microsoft Clarity

Provides visual insights like heatmaps and session recordings so we can see how visitors interact with your website and improve usability and conversions.
